(An urgent email to OH&S manager Uni of NSW Sydney)
Dear Mr Janssen
I am a resident of Coffs Harbour and have had several occasions recently to
watch your students at work within our hospital campus proper.
Could I draw to your attention a longstanding issue which goes to the
safety of all those who use the Hospital precinct including your students.
I have included a link below detailing the raising of the issue by our
local member in State Parliament.
This highlights the gravity of the problem but also reveals its longevity
and the inability of parties to resolve same.
In short there arise myriad of potential safety issues due to the fact that
the facility has only one entry/exit point.
Further, that entry/exit point is via the extremely busy and dangerous
Pacific Highway.
I am fearful that UNSW may be unwittingly failing in its duty of care to
its students at this campus.
I have copied several relevant parties to this email as a matter of
courtesy and to expedite a speedy resolution to this issue.
